Interesting. I’ve tossed around the idea of book caches spread out all over the world to act as knowledge seeds to stimulate a rebirth of society after some catastrophic event. It would be like an open source project with certain hard copies of books sealed for posterity.

That is a very cool idea! There have been a few postapoc stories that have dealt with this subject and it is one of my favorite story ideas.
